26.5mm Polish Flare Gun

#1

Post by Surprise270WIN »

So I bought a 26.5 mm polish flare gun just came in today. I have the insert to fire live rounds chambered for 45LC.410.

My intentions are to shoot .44-40 blanks out of the rig. Picked up some fast burning blank ammo from Western Stage Props.

How do you think that would go?
Any insights or suggestions?

I have one and have used it a lot with the original 26.5mm ammo. The recoil is surprisingly stout, so I think it is up to withstanding low pressure .410 and .45lc. I've considered buying the insert myself but just haven't done it yet. Personally, I think it would be cool if there was an insert that was it's own integral suppressor for .38 or 9mm. That would be awesome.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the .44-40 today It was more of a crack than a boom and the blank powder seemed to travel pretty far and I saw a little critter run away. Barrel was smoking pretty heavy as well.
That's a very good idea for a suppressor.
Runway sub cal would probably make a lot of money off that.
