Started using longshot for 10mm and then it made it way to my .40's Love the stuff. Has the right feel even if I cant explain what that is.
Some longshot was available a couple of weeks ago but it seems to have dried up. I have enough to last a bit but would like to pick up some more powder and it got me curious
What alternatives to 40 have you used and liked? CFE? One of the euro brands?
I have used HP38 and its fine but doesnt have that 40 snap!
I have used titegroup .. still dont like that powder and have a lb of it I will likely never use unless nothing else is available.
I dont have the experience many of you do and the only powders I have EVER used is hp38, longshot and titegroup so I have no idea what is out there for use in that cartridge.

What weight? For a 165 try BE-86 or power pistol. For a 180 try power pistol or AA-7.

Autocomp is almost always available. You can run it up pretty good, but it is a tad dirty.

Win 231. Little dirty. Universal clays works too although you will get unburnt powder from time to time.

I had pretty gapped luck with Unique when I had a 40.
