I formed some 7.65x53 Argentine brass out of 30-06. I've never done that before and was surprised how easy the brass reformed.

I've been going through my brass and found I have way too much 30-06. I'm starting to clean and sort it. It's once fired and deprimed commercial. I'm Keeping the military to reform into 7x57 and 7.65. I even found 100 cases of virgin Winchester brass. I guess I'll be doing some horse trading with it in the near future.

Re: What Did You Do in the Reloading Room Today?
18 months after moving, I finally set up my reloading room. Partially, at least.
Over the past few nights and days I've managed to decap and resize about 4,800 pieces (weighed 39 lbs) of 9mm brass. Running it all through some corncob now to get the lube off, then I'm going to dust off the wet tumbler and make it all purdy.
Took a pick halfway through the nickel plated stuff.
Also sat in front of the TV last night and sorted a bunch of once-fired 300 Blackout by headstamp.
Thinking about digging out the HF chop saw and jig next, and start chopping 5.56 brass for 300 BO conversion.
What have y'all been working on?

Doing brass prep, a lot of it. Running clean brass through a decapping machine. Then the roll sizer. Then through the Dillon case processor for resize, swage and internal case expansion. In a couple weeks I will run about 100K 9mm and be set for the year. Then I have another run of 45 to fully process then load about 20K 45 which I have not shot for years.Old Jeff H wrote: ↑January 7th, 2024, 12:47 pm 18 months after moving, I finally set up my reloading room. Sometime this year I am going to make a bunch of 300 blackout brass with the new case trimmer on the case processor. Uses a 2.5 horsepower router and close to 20,000 rpm's. Should get 2000 per hour with this setup.
Switching to wet cleaning brass before I touch it to lower my lead levels more. Using a cement mixer and a detergent with no pins and it comes out really clean. I evaporate the water and scrape it down and a friend deals with the lead residue for me.
Didn't you buy some reloading supplies from me at one time and met at sportsmans warehouse years ago?

I'm jealous. I'll probably always be stuck using the Harbor Freight chop saw/Amazon jig method for that.
I'm sure that I did! Which Sportsman's Warehouse?

I-17 and yorkshire, think you drove a 4 door car. At some point I may open up to trimming 300 brass for others.Old Jeff H wrote: ↑January 9th, 2024, 6:42 pmI'm jealous. I'll probably always be stuck using the Harbor Freight chop saw/Amazon jig method for that.

Ran 1,300 pieces of 300 BO brass through the Giraud trimmer last night and this afternoon. Those stubbly little things are hard to hold onto! My thumb and index finger are sore.
