The last thing I did was repacked a couple of boxes of Berry's Hybrid Hollowpoints that split open during shipment. Fortunately the outer box held so I didn't lose any this time.

I found an old one pound cardboard can of Hodgdon H-380 and rediscovered that it is a nice spherical powder suitable for 30-06. So I loaded up a bunch, and will take them to the range early next week. I wanted to go today, but it was raining.

So I made it out to the range today. Shot some of the 30-06 with H-380 powder. It performed so well, that I wish I had more of the powder! Mainly because it meters so well, not like the stick powders that you usually associate with the 30-06.
Also, at the range I tried out my new brass catcher for my AR-15 in .223. It is called the Brass Goat and it attaches to the magwell and has a detachable catch box that will hold 30 cases. My impression is that it is GREAT! Much better than the velcro ones with the mesh bag. After 100 rounds, I can say that I lost no brass, had no malfunctions and none were damaged in any way.

Ran a bunch of pulled SS109 bullets through the bullet size die. Not a fun task.
I’ve had these for awhile and never had issues but a friend with some from the same batch got one stuck in the throat of his rifle. If I’d realized how much deformation there was from the puller, I’m not sure I’d have bought them. Still have a few thousand to go.
Going to check my pulled tracer projectiles too. After that I’ll have a lightly used .224 bullet size die for sale.

Anyone blow up their reloading room on 9/11? I'm looking at the damage to the house next door this Friday.

Does this have anything to do with the post earlier today about needing powder because of a house fire last week?Old Jeff H wrote: ↑September 15th, 2021, 11:46 am Anyone blow up their reloading room on 9/11? I'm looking at the damage to the house next door this Friday.

I don't think so because that guy's in Tucson and the one I'm looking at is in Goodyear.XJThrottle wrote: ↑September 15th, 2021, 1:37 pm
