22 LR Rimfire Ammo

#1

Post by martyd »

Hi,
I have used 3 online stores who also have an actual brick & mortar store.
All three have gotten 22LR ammo in from Federal.
All three are selling for store pickup only. They are taking care of their regular customers. I like that.
I would assume local gun stores have or are going to get some 22LR soon.
I hope they do not sell it by the case but limit it to 1 brick (500rds) or 2 bricks (1000rds) at the most.

I've seen the same thing at a bunch of stores for reloading supplies. You can't find any and IF you do, it's in store pick up only.

Hi,

I have not found any local store which has 22LR in stock. Some now have 22Mag in stock.
The 22LR I referenced to in my original post was on-line stores well outside the Arizona area.

However, there is a Local Exception.
Bruno's seems to always have Eley 22LR and some other target brands as well. But has not had run-of-the-mill 22LR for quite a while.

If you are familiar with Bruno's you know he is a reloading & 22LR ammunition only store. He does build and sell custom benchrest rifles as well as scopes for that type of shooting.

He always has pistol, rifle & shotgun powder, if he is out of your particular brand he does receive frequent shipments. His powder prices are pretty much regular retail.

He almost always has primers. Again if he is out he usually receives a shipment fairly soon.
However, with primers, YOU MUST go to the store and ask him when he expects some in. He will give you a business card which has a cell number on it. You CANNOT CALL that number. You must TEXT him to see if he has received his shipment. Then you MUST go ASAP and get your primers, they do sell out fairly quickly. Magnum primers seem to hang around longer.

He is a CCI Dealer (he is listed on CCI's website as such along with several other Arizona stores).
