well i don't like the brass wet tumbled, and as noted by all use corn cob and walnut as needed, some polish ect.
i do use the ultra cleaners for parts, dies, and all kinds of clean up, always some scrubbing required on the really ugly shiat. , I've tried all the home recipes, some do ok, most just take off basic surface crap, the unique tech while pricey does get it done, and leaves no residual mess. i do filter it out once used, and it helps or at least i believe it does, like being able to drop a whole unit, or a barrel set up and let it sizzle a bit, and walla lube it up and ready for another go
thanks to all for info

Ultra sonic cleaners
Re: Ultra sonic cleaners
The Unique Tech stuff removes everything, and I mean all traces of lube and grease, so make sure to lube your parts up good after using it.

Re: Ultra sonic cleaners
well now i'd think anyone worth a grain of salt would know to lube it after a cleaning for a possible new insertion into the system.

Re: Ultra sonic cleaners
So would I, but experience tells me I'm wrong.

Re: Ultra sonic cleaners
I’ve tried some home brew concoctions for brass cleaning. Not steel/aluminum parts cleaning. I have also tried the RCBS and Hornady One Shot in my ultrasonic cleaner and I found that the RCBS did not clean quite as well as the Hornady One Shot. Just make sure you get the bottle marked for brass cleaning as they make one for gun parts as well. And the labels look similar. I use the concentrate and not the gallon jug. It is expensive but it works better for me than the others I mentioned. The concentrate bottle has lasted me 4-5 months of heavy brass cleaning and I am almost out.
I hope this helps.

Secret Drying Method
Secret Drying Method passed down to me by a guy that has been loading over 50 years.
I have been doing it for years. I will post some pics of my super shiny brass.
Food Dehydrator
The kind used to make beef jerky.
Instead of meat. Put the cases in there.
8 hours.
I will check my temp.
I use a Frankford Arsenal Tumbler and dish soap. I would use acid though.
