Looking to do a trade for ammo, but at pre-CHINESE virus prices.
Last 2 cases of 9mm I bought were 15 cents a round (Northwest Armory) and 17.5 cents a round (Scottsdale Gun Club), but those were atypical. I believe the going rate was around 20 cents a round for S&B, Blazer Brass, etc. Do I remember right?
However, I have no memory of the pre-CHINESE virus price for .223/5.56. My remaining inventory is all Federal American Eagle M193, but it has been more than a year since I bought that, so I don't recall what it was selling for the day before the panic.
Any of you have a better memory than me?
Thanks.

Re: Price Check: pre-virus ammo prices
I have never spent more than 30 cents a round before taxes and shipping for .223 or 5.56 FMJ.
Lots of times it was free shipping.

Yea, 30 cents a round for 223/5.56 was really common, and could be had for a little less if you found a deal.

Re: Price Check: pre-virus ammo prices
Roger 20 cents for 9mm and 30 cents for .223/5/56. I will go with that for trade value.
(In fact, I see .223 listed for 36-37 cents currently, post-CHINESE cooties.)
Thanks.

For brass-cased reloadable .223 like Wolf Gold, you could find that at UNAMMO for about $280 per 1000 back before February. Federal Green tip went for about $340 per 1000 when packed on strippers and in bandoliers. Winchester White Box Q3131 went for about $400 per 1000.

Agree on those prices too, got both 9 and 223 beginning of the year.
Also what helps me keep track is a spread sheet. I log how much I paid, brand, and where I bought it from. Helpful keeping track of your inventory too.

I was looking the other day at 30 carbine and about crapped myself. It's up to .36 now.

Re: Price Check: pre-virus ammo prices
.30 Carbine ammo prices have sucked for quite a while now. Brass cased has been $.36-$.40 per round for as long as I can recall...but I don't think I was really shopping for it until about 6-8 years ago. Only cheaper ammo I had found was steel cased.
