Head scratcher

#1

Post by Marshall Dillon »

Running a bunch of 9mm. Case feeder stopped dropping cases. I figured there was a .40 cal at the bottom of the tube.

Dumped the contents into my hand. Nope they all look like nines. Tossed them back into the hopper, and started again. A few minutes later, same thing. Tossed 'em back again. Little while later same deal. .......... OKAY, let me look at that case at the very bottom of the tube a little more thoroughly.

LMAO ........ Never saw one of those before.

I made the mistake of buying some of that brand of brass from some shyster on another web site, was all stamped 30-30 Win. Not a one of them would chamber in any of my 30-30 rifles, strange stuff.

I have used lotsssss to Prvi. Never any problems with any rifle brass and only a few with pistol calibers. Mostly brass tends to run thick. GTG otherwise.

I'm seeing lots of comments about brand but no matter who makes the case, a 38 S&W will not feed through a 9mm system.
Kinda rare... Had some of that to shoot through a 2" 38 Special revolver so the young girls could handle the recoil when they first started. The work in 357 Mag. also.

It started with (I think) 38 colt, then 38 s&w, next was 38 spl, 357 mag, and lastly the .357 rem max. Each one successively higher in pressure and velocity. Each time they made the ctg longer so that the older gun couldn't fire the newer higher pressure cartridge.
(Same with 44 spl, 44 mag, and 445 super mag.)

You are not the first person I have heard complain about their 30-30 brass.
