Turkish 9mm quality control still sucks

Post by Suck My Glock »

Some products out of Turkey are just fine. And it is improving all the time. But then,...just as you begin to gain confidence in Turkish ammo production,...you see this;

Image

Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. Thos rounds in the upper right corner of the box have off center primers.

Assuming it actually fired and ejected, I can't wait to see some brass hound scrounge up that brass and try to run it through his decapper and curse up a storm.

Whats the brand name on the box? I keep hearing good reviews.But all reviews seem to come from retailers that sell the ammo .
Ive been leery of buying turkish ammo but pricing some days make it very interesting.

This was posted on Facebook, and they didn't show the box or mention the trade name it was packaged under. But they did say it was purchased this week.

I don't reload, and if it goes bang, I'm good. It's close enough for the firing pin to strike it, works for me.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

Understood, and a reasonable position. However, I bet that extractor groove is pretty shallow on that one side, which could leave the case jammed in the chamber. Not a cool situation.

Would be a lot more helpful if they told you what brand it was. The headstamp looks like TROY or TRSY? I've gone through a fair bit of Turan and DRZ with zero issues.

In which case it serves as a great malfunction drill ammo.
