So many choices....

Discuss any Title II or NFA items like machineguns, suppressors, SBR's, SBS's, DD's and AoW's.

So many choices....

#1

Post by Copperhead »

Want a suppressor for my G21. Already have threaded barrel. I have been looking at Silencerco.
Omega K? Octane? I have no idea. Are there other brands I should be looking at and any to stay away from?
Thanks

I just bought the silencerco but since I don’t have it yet I can’t give you a review. I’m probably about a year away.

However after all of my research I settled on that. however it is more costly than the others.

I bought the Obsidian at the Silencer Shop on their recommendation. Comes in both 9 and 45. Their prices is cheaper than the website here:

I got an Octane in the SiCo deal last summer. Have only shot it a couple times, with only other suppressed experience being rim fire. But, it works..

I also have the DeadAir Ghost M. Haven't shot that one yet. Got it in the deal they had last year.

I looked at the Obsidion and it showed the dcb for .45 and 9mm but it didn't show the suppressor specs for 9mm

You can't really go wrong with any of the main manufacturers. Just depends on what your goals are and what you want out of it.

This will be my home protector gun so to speak. I am also looking at light/laser combos for the same weapon. The thought is to not go deaf if I have to fire inside my home.

If you're somewhat handy you can always build your own and cut down the wait time from months to days. Entire kits are available and for a few extra bucks you'll get a jig and drill bit that will allow you to drill out your own baffles.
For pistol this would be the way to go. For rifle, I'd stick with manufactured brand name.
