Integrally suppressed SBR upper for Colt 9mm carbine.

Post by brucea4 »

Looking to SBR a Colt 9mm carbine with an integrallly suppressed complete upper. Internet not helping me at all. I don't know if Colt makes what I'm looking for because I would like to keep it all Colt. But I'm pretty sure Colt doesn't make suppressors! Any ideas, suggestions, or experiences are appreciated. Would be great if a local ( Tucson ) dealer was available to talk face to face about the set-up. Bolts & triggers seem to be a problem with the 9mm carbines.....

Look for a Gemtech Talon, I have a couple of them and they are quieter than my MP-5SD is. The 9mm sub guns Colt did for DOE were built by Knights for them so there are no Colt 9mm suppressed uppers floating, you may be able to talk Knights into making them again if you can get a quantity of them ordered. I would call Dave Fisher who is in Tempe and talk to him about what you want, he can probably make it happen for you as he is working on one for a 5.7 AR and I'm sure he can do something for a 9mm. I have seen ones he did for 5.56 guns that were integral.

I've got one of those in 13" (2 stamp gun). So quiet it doesn't get picked up by the timer in competition.

Doug was a pleasure to deal with, only problem was having to drive to Camp Verde to pick it up.

+1 on the Talon, but they're not cheap.
