Form1 suppressor Cleo

Post by ReaperOfMars »

For Mesa or Maricopa county does anyone know who to put down for notification name and address.

I was reading through the Form1 walkthrough from my trust docs and it’s not clear where to get that info from.

Any one do one recently?

Thanks!

I believe it says the local law enforcement. Not specific if its city county or state. Silencershop sent my form 4 to the local DA. I sent a form 1 to MCSO. I'd go with the later.

Did your form one go into "pending research" status? How long did it take for your cover letter?

Mcso makes sense. I’ll do that.

Haven’t started mine yet. I’ve heard on the FB groups that pending research is usually because of custom model names. It’s usually a 90 day delay but could be wrong on that.

This is my first one so I’m trying not to mess anything up. 😂

Thanks!

I put down the Sheriff for my SBR.

Shooters World put down the AZ Attorney General for my suppressor. Both worked.

Awesome. Sounds like the sheriff is the way to go. I appreciate the help, now if only they would turn back on the eform site. 🤬😆🤬

Same with putting down MCSO.
I just usually add ATTN:Records and ship

Did you get your cover letter right away? I believe you were using quiet bore form1 kits right? What did you use as the model info in the drop down lists?

I submitted a form 1last month.npicked a custom mlm model number and got smacked with a pending research. 3 month wait supposedly. Needles to say I'm canceling that form and re submitting.

I did a custom manufacturer model and it took me about 3.5 months before it went from pending research to pending. Then about 9 days till I got my stamp.
Next one I build I will use my same model with a new serial number

I was looking at QB but ended up going with WTT.

If you specify a custom model it puts you in pending research. Automatic 90ish day delay. If you don’t get put into research you get your cover letter right away.

I submitted Feb 12th and got rejected 2 weeks ago. 😂

I messed up my trust paperwork. Resubmitted last night. Got my cover letter right away. Hopefully it goes through this time.

If you choose N/A for the model you skip the research headache from what I’ve read.

Time to send in my cleo notification again 😂

As others have said if you pick a custom model number you will automatically go into pending research. Don’t do it. I submitted one that way and got the same result. Two months later I got my cover letter. I ended up submitting a new form 1 with NA s as the model and got approved in under 30 days.

I sent several emails requesting to cancel the first form but never got a confirmation. Now I have to let the first application expire or get denied to get the refund. The help line and ask the experts were no help getting the first application canceled.

Lesson learned

I’ve sent all mine to DPS. I live in Maricopa county, and in Phoenix. Speaking to an attorney, he said as long as its local, county, or state that I’m in, I’m good to go.

And with Williams being super liberal, and Penzone being anti 2A; DPS seemed logical next choice.
