I picked up 2 25 pound bags of 7.5 in Flag last Monday at Sportsmans Warehouse for about 45 ish a bag. They had 6, 7.5, 8 and 9 shot. Have seen it at the SW in Show Low too in the last month as well.
Re: And The Insanity Continues !
Sorry, but I somehow overlooked your post but here's a belated answer.
Ben Avery has a guy that travels there from time to time and sells shot, Tucson trap and Skeet has the same guy selling there from time to time, Casa Grande Trap and Skeet, same guy from time to time and IIRC, the seller keeps an ad up in the employees' air conditioned clubhouse at Rio Salado shotgun range.
It's essentially call the guy and he tells you when he can be there or ask somebody when he'll be there, but he makes the rounds essentially every month.

I have 2 bags of magnum 8 shot, purchased 25 yrs ago, in my stash. It will keep me in Quail shells for my lifetime. I’d never pay those prices.

I have much the same 1,500 pounds or so of #8's, 24 pounds of Clay's powder, and a couple cases of wads. The shot I bought a ton of, (80 bags), back in the mid 90's direct from Scott Shot up in St. George Utah, for just $12.50 @ bag.
My wife told me I was crazy for buying so much. Now she thanks me. I am down to my last 4,000 primers however.

Re: And The Insanity Continues !
I finally got around to dusting off a shot maker I bought at a swap meet years ago. Had to fix the switch but it worked great and was not as much trouble as I thought it might be. Cranked out 30 lbs. of #8 in short order. Previously I had been using reclaimed shot but I finally ran out so I decided to make my own.
