#1

Post by Brasscatcher »

I received a Ithaca model 37 shotgun from a relative that was missing the barrel. Anyone know where you can get a replacement barrel for it. I have looked around and just cant seem to find one. any help would be appreciated.

Look on Ebay. There are a bunch on there.
Not all Ithaca model 37 barrels are interchangeable.
Depending on when it was made will determine what will fit.
The early guns need to have the barrel fitted to the receiver.
Most late model guns will interchange, but not all of them.
If the serial number is below 855,000 the barrel will have to be machined and fitted to the particular receiver.
Also once the new barrel is fitted to the receiver the original barrel more than likely will no longer work on that gun.

Try Corsons barrels in KIngman, I have bought and sold shotgun barrels with them.

Try armslist
Armslist is practically worthless anymore.

I'd try Numrich and probably ebay.
Just avoid using PayPal if using ebay.

Why not PayPal ?
Just about every item sold on Ebay is paid through PayPal.

They'll shut your account down and seize the money if you get caught since it's against their Terms Of Service. They're very anti-2A.

No they won't. There are tons of gun related items on eBay that are payed through PayPal every day.
I have done it many times and not only on Ebay.

They won't let you use them for ammo or guns , but parts they have no problem with.

Thanks everyone, its a high serial number so any barrel should fit. I will watch ebay to see if I can get a cheap barrel. The gun must have been in the garage or something because it has a lot of light rust on it. Its probably not worth much but if if I can get a cheap barrel and bring it back to life it would be nice.
