Wife is a lefty and wants a small carry gun. Is the mag release changeable?

Yes, it's interchangeable.

Have her go rent one first.
Many people, usually women, want a small hand gun without ever shooting one. It's a snappy little beast....she may hate it.

Rj let me borrow 3 guns for her to try. An lcp, lc9 and a s&w bodyguard 380. She liked the fit of the lc9 and the bodyguard. I just need the mag release to be on the right cause of her being a lefty. So something along those lines in comparison to size. Then she heard....I'm going to start carrying the glock 17 for higher cap and she immediately said. What small glock is out there. I said the g42 is a 380 and she started comparing the bodyguard with the glock. Lol

I had a lady who wanted to learn to shoot and discovered she did not like / handle the recoil of the 9mm. Loved shooting the 380.

Dan...
ps. Won't mention the comment she made when she fired the 40 S&W one time. :)

In case you end up with a G42 or anyone else who owns one, I do have a new in factory box G42 magazine for $15. Im near Cabelas. Cant go wrong with an LCP, G42, or the Bodyguard either way. LCP is great for deep concealment.

Mike, does it have to be tiny? The S&W Shield EZ in either .380 or 9mm is becoming very popular with women. Extremely easy to operate. But I don't know if the mag release is interchangeable.

Well.... took the boss lady to c2 so she can see and fell the difference between a g42 and a g43 . She's now undecided but..... I shot the g43 and effing thing was slipping from my big hands. The g43 however because it was small, I was able to grip it tight and be accurate with it. So for me? G42 but let's see what she decides on.

She should check out the Sig P365 also. IMO, far superior to the G42/43.

My wife didnt like that it's all metal. She has tennis elbow right now so it has to be light. Hopefully she decides on the 42 cause I like it . Lol. And when she gets tired of it and want another one, it can be my backup pocket rocket.
