Rugers new 57 pistol in 5.7X28

I was interested in the new ruger 57...but.. I also wasnt that familiar with the sub par ammo available for it currently... I'll probably just go for an xd 10mm...that was on my list also... Thanks omegaman and rbking for the solid info

Has anyone really tackled reloading the 5.7x28? I know it can be a pain in the butt in order to actually achieve it. I'm going to be buying the dies here soon and wanted to see if there is anything I should do in order to make the process easier? I'll be using a Lee single stage press (I haven't taken the steps to get into progressives just yet. I prefer single-stage). as of right now I've only tackled .44mag and, .444marlin (easy to reload). is there something i should buy/do in order to make it easier?

jlfornoff,... 5.7x28 is a bottle neck case, that seats on the shoulder, totally different than 44mag or marlin444. Setting your full length sizing die is pretty standard, but there are some more detailed processes you may wish to consider.

There are a multitude of tools on the market for determining proper case/shoulder length,... but, I found the Wilson Case Gage to be BY FAR the most easy and precise of them all.

it's good to see I'm not the only one that gets their finger pinched by the trigger. I learned that if I move my finger all the way to the tip of my finger I can eliminate the pinch. if I put the trigger lower on my finger it pinches almost every time. I'm hoping there will be an aftrmaket trigger that we can drop in to fix this issue.

Looks like a really fun gun. My problem would be the price of ammo. That would take the fun out of it.
