Glock 43X

Post by Doc Holliday »

Just perfect for me. Smaller full grip (no pinky extension needed), 10+1 capacity...your usual Glock internals, I did notice the Firing Pin Safety has been redesigned and is 'angled/ramped' on the bottom, makes for a better trigger pull IMO, forward trigger travel to reset seems shorter, ambi mag release, front of slide and grip are beveled, front and rear slide serrations, new-style Marksman Barrel, also a different Slide Stop, some kind of spring setup on this one rather than the wire/spring on the fullsized models, haven't had a chance to tear it down yet...16.4 oz empty w/o mag...

I'm not a glock fan but a friend of mine just got 1 last week and I was impressed again (saw it at SHOT). For what it is for the price, it's hard to beat.

It is a modern Sig P225 and a great carry gun. I am really stuck between this and the Sig P365.

Can’t go wrong with at least one of the Austrian wonder pistols in the arsenal, I’m thinking about the 43 as a carry option.

I was looking at the 365 as well...they're very close in many dimensions, although the Glock has a longer barrel and a longer overall length...I think the Sig is a just a bit heavier...I went with the 43X for parts availability...and the Glock mags are much less expensive...

They are absolutely slick guns as a sub gun. I'd definitely like to get to compare it to the Dog in actually shooting.

The 43 just disappears in an IWB carry. It’s so thin. I’m a pretty thin dude and I can appendix or IWB under a loose t-shirt no problem.

Most may already know, but I’ll throw this in...the blue label pricing is extended to vets from Memorial Day thru Veterans Day

I just picked up an all black blue label 43x Tuesday. I think I’m gonna like this one. And I think it may just replace my 19 as my daily carry.

Something about the grip...I put some Wilson Grip Tape on it for now, may look for some type of rubber grip to place on it.
