Glock 19 Gen 2 Value Question
I have a friend that has a couple of very clean, very low round count (Like less than 100 ea.) that he is thinking of selling. Would any of the many Glock Fans here have any rough idea of the value of each.
The picture I think might give you some idea of the condition.
Thanks in advance

$300 tops for me. I can buy a clone for that price, or, assemble a clone for a bit less.

Re: Glock 19 Gen 2 Value Question
I see one that hasent sold on gunbroker for $750 (quick search). I would pay $600, maybe $650 tops myself.

I see one on gunbroker that didn't sell for $300!
Paying $600-650? I'll have to remember you if I ever have a gun to sell you can make the first offer. Lol.
Does he have the factory boxes and paperwork?
How about mags, how many come with each?
There are lot's of variables

Re: Glock 19 Gen 2 Value Question
You have to be judicious about GB. That one didn't sell because it was taken down before it ended - so you can't use it to judge value. If it was a legit action from a "NR" seller that is an FFL (based on the logo by their account name), then it was likely taken down by the seller because he sold it locally.
However, "NR" sellers are often scammers. Never, never, never buy from a "NR" seller on GB if you don't want to risk getting scammed. Yeah, everyone starts at NR, but always question the more valuable stuff being sold by a "NR" seller.
To try to determine market prices, you have to find auctions that have successfully completed and "sold" by reputable sellers - not just "ended".
A 2nd Gen Glock will have a higher-than-normal value to a collector, but likely a lower-than-normal value to a utilitarian shooter, as they just see them as an older, used Glock. The Glock collector will value originality, condition and completeness of it.
Here's a good search result on GB for a Glock 19 Gen 2: https://www.gunbroker.com/Semi-Auto-Pis ... imeframe=1
You will see that the prices range from a high of just above $800 from SUCCESSFULLY SOLD auctions from reputable sellers for packages that are complete with all accessories and in "like new" condition and down to just under $500 for well-used ones with a single mag. You have to sort by the highest number of bids and ignore the ones that don't get any bids.

A wise man once told me, “Never confuse what you paid for something with what it is actually worth.”kenpoprofessor wrote: ↑March 29th, 2023, 4:44 amIf someone wants to pay me a huge amount for a Gen 2, I'll take it. As I said, $300 tops, if someone believes it's worth more, then good luck selling it, and stupid for buying it at a higher price. There's a ton of Glocks out there so they're very common. If you've got a model that was only produced and sold overseas, maybe they'll fetch a premium, but run of the mill Gen 2 stuff, nope.
