Beretta is releasing an updated Cheetah, the 80X!

I love my "Cheetah" and was sad they were out of production, but they are releasing a "new" one and it looks to be really cool. Looks like I will be picking up an FDE one when they hit the shelves.

With the "new" HiPowers and the "new" Cheetah - hopefully we will get some more "updates" on some classic guns.

I absolutely love Beretta but the price point is a little hard to swallow. At 1k I can't imagine many will sell past people like me when a shield ez is half or 1/3 the price depending on model. My 92X at 1200 OTD was at my maximum I'm willing to pay for a handgun.

ETA: It is optics ready but the rear sight looks to be one with the plate meaning red dot will require losing irons which means it's held in by screws that have a potential to back out :( . I hate screws (looking at you keltec). I'm in the irons for life camp (youngin with severe astigmatism). The more I look at it the more I'm bummed about it.

I'm interested to see this. It definitely won't be for everybody at the price point. The standard one starts at $799.99 MSRP but that's still double the price of an EZ. I'd be interested to see how many of these sell compared to the EZ's.

Unfortunately, they've not allowed for cocked-n-locked carry on this one. Buy an old one, and use the savings to have it plated, or coated...and get ammo.
