If you're spending more than 500 for a wasr, take that money and spend it on an AR.

And if you're willing to spend that much on a WASR, you're an idiot.

Most underrated aspect of the wasrs is that tapco g2 trigger. I LOVE that trigger.

Only thing tapco made that wasn’t junk

Sar-1's are selling in the 7-900.00 range on Gunbroker. But there only worth what someone will pay for them. I have a Sar-2 that i would not sell for that.

WASRs have been good for years now. Perfect starter AK. The canted sights are a thing of the past now.

You are correct, sir. Paying more than 400-450 was a deal breaker for me a few years back.

I have an older WASR 10 imported by CAI and it's one of my favorite guns. Picked it up around 10 years ago. Very dependable and accurate. I remember hearing a lot of negative things about them. Must have gotten lucky and got a good one. Only thing I changed on it was the wood. Went to solid, didn't like the laminated that came on it. I still love it and will never part with it. Fun to shoot.
