9MM PCC

#1

Post by 338lapua »

Went into a gun store in my area a couple weeks ago and saw a $300 complete 9MM PCC AR kit for $300 that uses Glock mags so I bought it. Picked the receiver up this week and put it together with a Bushnell AR red dot sight on it. Groups are numbered with 3 and 4 being rapid fire. 150 rounds through a $459 AR 9MM carbine. I think it is a keeper. Going to do another one and use it as a truck gun.

While it's not an AR or technically a PC"C" per say, but I love my CZ Scorpion Evo 3 with brace.
It mostly fits the role and definitely scratches that pcc itch.
Super short video, my dad took the video and sent it by txt so it's snipped to just the 20rnd mag dump

Lower is from MLS arms and the upper I have no clue who built it. $459 plus tax. MLS Arms is a couple doors down from where C-3 Arms was and is in the same space as C-4 arms. Hell of a good deal as I see others selling theirs for twice that much.

Wasn't sure he was dead so 30 to the chest from the M&P CORE and 30 more to the head with the Glock 34.

Wow, I didn't realize they were shipping these yet. Time to start pricing one.

PistolPete did a review of the BFS III. I shot it in his AR and liked it but heard they were bringing it out for the Scorpion so I decided to wait for it. Here's a review with multiple shooters with different levels of skills. First time with the Franklin BFS. It's a fun review, not your common Magazine review:

I'm liking the binary on the cz and franklin did a great job but I wouldnt get one from them for the AR15 since the fostech has a trigger block that pretty much eliminates hammer follow.
The cz like the HK roller lockk guns has a built in safety or maybe they call it a sear, unsure, to avoid hammer follow.
That video was probably my 5th or 6th mag it doesnt take long to figure out the cadence :)

Also, their site said 12 weeks for delivery when I ordered but I had it in a 6 days.

I really hope Franklin adds a trigger block / safety sear to their AR and AK triggers to eliminate hammer follow soon, it's not too complicated to integrate a lever that holds the trigger until the bolt is closed and I like Franklins quality at least from what I see in the cz trigger group I have.
Hammer follow is pretty much what made the bumpstock ar annoying and I havent gotten around to trying to tune it as I'm just not that huge of a fan of the bumpstock. It's kinda clunky and just not aesthetically pleasing lol
