Not sure what they're called but one of the loops for the pins is cracked.

Contact Russell Phagan at KE Arms. They make the modern version, and he worked at Cavalry back when yours was made. If anyone knows, he will know. He currently is in charge of the injection molding at KE.

They've ALWAYS been trash. Even when new.

If you have some emotional attachment to that lower - I'm sure it can be fixed... You could probably fix it "ugly" with a dremel, some plastic-appropriate epoxy putty of some sort, and some hand tools. If I were trying to fix something like this on the cheap I'd:
* Cut out the crack to just above the inner surface
* Rough the contact surface of the "V"
* Clamp the loop closed (ensure that the crack is not expanded on the inside edge)
* Fill with epoxy putty
* After the epoxy cures, clean up the outside surfaces with the dremel.
You could probably fix it "pretty" by finding someone who specializes in modifying polymer handguns and spending more than the cost of a new one.
On the other hand... based on what I found on line about that lower - my thought is that @cool arrow probably has given the best answer...

Dremel a small V channel and stuff it with styrofoam with some Super Glue on it.

YEP plastic lowers are easy to break i've broke 2 myself. However both mine broke at the rear takedown pin area.

Serious question: Does it still run? That's not an "operating" part. If the gun still holds together, maybe just keep shooting it?

I bought as is and didn't notice until I got home
I've put an upper on it and it seems fine but I haven't fired it

Previous owner may not even have known. Probably runs just fine.
