I see S&W is continuing their quest to become Kel-Tec...

At least this version of the SUB2K allows you to keep a red dot on the rail when folded...can't do that with the Sub2K unless you add some aftermarket parts.

I don't hate it, but I also have zero need for it.

They have sold a lot of M&P 9 pistols. A lot of people with M&P pistols probably would like a PCC with interchangeable ammo and magazines. I think they will sell a lot of these.

Exactly. I wouldn't buy one because then I need magazines for it, so I'll stick with the Sub 2000 that takes Glock Mags.

It is interesting but, as mentioned S&W's quest to become Kel-Tec has led to them building some bulky beasts. The M&P 12 makes the Kel-Tec KSG look svelte in comparison. The Sub2K is so lightweight, I wonder if the FPC will be a chunky and clunky as the M&P12

The side folding hinge, vs the end over end hing of the Keltec, makes the new S&W bulky by comparison. I do like that it allows a red dot to stay attached and zero'd without additional accessories, but the width is more than double the Keltec. Still, if I had to buy one, I think I'd give the S&W a try....it might make an interesting truck gun.

Direct blowback?

Pass.

It's neat, but it's essentially same-same as three dozen other Direct Blowback 9mm carbines on the market in the same price range.

Charge a little more, make something that actually stands out other than using M&P mags.

I don’t know. It’s grown on me. Sort of MG42-ish…

I am a fan of the handguns, so that goes a long way for me.

And it isn't a Keltec. Keltec should have been run out of business after they made those shi tty little pistols for CCW that hurt your hands and just were not accurate, at least I learned from owning one of those crappy pistols how to learn to conceal a full sized pistol. Nice little back pack guns that if you shortened it up and put a integral suppressor on it that would be handy.

The spare magazine carrier is quite clever and useful.
