I keep forgetting to post in this thread. I took my Adams Arms out a few months ago an put a couple of mags through it. Functioned flawlessly.

Glad you liked your AA piston upper and it performed well, did you take it apart and discover the lack of carbon build up, quick wipe down and you’re good to go for round two.

I haven't taken it apart after shooting it (only put 60 rounds through it), but I'm familiar as I have a PWS as well. I want to test it out with steal cased ammo, I don't have any steal cased but I'll get some. I'd like to find the dirtiest steal cased ammo to see how it holds up.

This was brought up on ARFCOM. Op of the post made it sound as if AA was no more. Here’ the actual result of AA being unable to pay the note.

Hopefully the creditor will be interested in keeping it going rather than selling it off piece by piece.
On a related note, I just became aware of a new player in the piston conversion kit game, also out of Florida,...Superlative Arms. https://suparms.com/piston-systems.html

Re: AR15's - direct impingement vs gas piston
I bought one of the Wolf A1 uppers a couple years ago. Piston AR style design and in service by the Tiawanese for the last 30ish years. It has been 100% from the get go, and it is really nice only having to clean the piston. I like it enough that I may by a PWS upper which one of my local stores has started carrying.
