Question for 338LM shooters

How often do you REALLY take the 338LM out? Anyone still feeding a 338LM right now?

Always been intrigued, figure I would ask.

I take the .338 LM out probably 2x/year. That has nothing to do with the cost of ammo and everything to do with the fact that I primarily use it at my "mile range" spot and don't often drive out there.

When I bought into .338 LM, I bought all of the nice Redding dies and have a bunch of Lapua & Peterson brass that will last me decades of use at my current volume. So it's actually quite cheap to shoot at this point.

A few months ago I saw basic 7.62X54 for somewhere around $4/rnd... Remember looking to see if it was some sort of match round... it was not. Same with my .45-70... I think it was $68/box when I last looked... Just stupid...

I had a GA Precision 338LM on a AI chassis and I didn't like feeding it 10 years ago haha...It was a dream to shoot tho, extremely accurate only weighed about 20 pounds with a scope lol... I sold it to a buddy and now can use it whenever I want, but haven't had the desire to shoot it anymore.

Or until somewhere around 2025... (just guessing - or hoping)... But you are correct - the financial beatings will continue until we have something happen that improves morale. :-)
