You fellas are missing the point. "Needed" to buy. Sure there will be more that became mine because I "wanted" to buy them.

I would grab that ammo too if you don't already load it. Even in good times I rarely found it on the shelf for less than $24 a box of 50. Not likely to find it on the shelves at all right now. Sucks having a gun you can't play with!

I'm not generally a Henry fan, but even I'd be tempted at that price.
I do like their rimfire levers though.
Can't stand the pump ones.

Really? For American Eagle Lead Round Nose? My memory of that is, $12-$15 per box. And generally a poor performer, and nearly worthless...except for punching paper. I thought that I just recalled a few days ago, that Cabela's was selling 158 gr. .357, though I don't recall the bullet configuration ( some generic SP, I thought), for around $28 for 50 rounds. Granted...they don't have it often, these days. But...I'm working there, so I do get a chance at an occasional box. That .38 LRN sounds overpriced (by "normal" pre-Covid pricing) to me. Am I confused?

I have hundreds of rounds of .38/.357 (or thousands...whatever), so I'm not desperate. I'll have to dig around, try to refresh my memory...see if I'm misremembering my pricing.

Thanks to everyone, again. Looks like I'm meeting him on Sat.

Sounds like a good deal, assuming rifle is in good condition. A good lever is a wonderful thing.

What are you wanting to pay for a big boy x? I may have an inside track on one.

Good deal! Any decent lever gun seems to be very hard to find these days. As well as very expensive these days.
