Should I buy this Henry .357?

Discuss rifles, carbines, and other long-arms here (AR-15's, AK's, etc...)

I gave up on them after I jammed up a rossi beyond bad.Glockmonger to the rescue, I can take care of our scar, ar, 1911, M&P, Hk sigs etc....but detail stripping a .357 magnum rifle was a task raised my blood pressure to the once I got it back together point it was sold. Son is investigating sonic cleaners big enough to throw the whole thing (minus some not needed stuff), drain fill with ro rinse, then fill with lube all done....skeptical but the cost was breathtaking for large enough sonics. Got one now we just throw handguns in minus grips, up 5. Aircraft grade simple green just attacks that crap.

Buy it, if you don’t like it flip it for a Winchester in the same caliber. I shoot a Winchester trapper in 357/38. Love it! I say go for it

I appreciate the reply, thank you. It should be noted...in post #28, on June 1st...I posted that I purchased the Henry .357/.38 Lever Action rifle in question, and included a pic. Thanks to everyone for their advice!

On another note...I have not had the opportunity to fire it, yet. I will let you all know how that goes, when it finally happens.

Good deal I guess I stopped short of seeing that post. If you are looking for ammunition for it and don’t want to pay an arm and a leg look at sgammo.com. Great prices and fast delivery times.

Well, this is kind of a Necropost...but I did finally get around to firing the Henry .357/.38. Wow! What a great shooter! I didn't put too many rounds through it, a couple friends fired it as well, and everyone was impressed. Extremely accurate, for what it is. Great sights, too. I didn't really appreciate the sights when I was just pawing it at home, but once out there lining up on a target, I loved the sights.

Happy with my purchase! Thanks again to everyone who shared their opinions on this, and encouraged me to snap it up.
