The M12 is the military equivalent of the H&R 5200.
The M12 used rear Redfield Palma and hooded Redfield Olympic front sights, you might be able to find them from the CMP, but regardless they’re not going to be inexpensive and are hard to find.
Last set I saw sold for $250.

Mike , did your rifle come with the flat mounting plate on the left side rear of the receiver ?
If so perhaps any flat side design peep could be adapted by drilling and tapping a couple of holes.

No it didn't, It's raised but not a dovetail (straight cut), won't work with this peep sight. I thought about a flat plate & add a piece of dovetail stock... or try to find just the mounting bracket with side mounting screw only, the upper sight appears to be the same?... Seems to be a Redfield #70 and a #75, don't know the difference yet. I'm wondering if the Winchester 52's or other 22's used a flat plate? Thanks again, Mike

The 52 on request could use a flat plate base or nearly any sight on request.

Normally used a Redfield or Lyman sight

Thanks for the reply. I've ordered some 3/8 dovetail stock from Brownell's.... Will make a new side plate from scratch
