Ar 47 firing pin

#1

Post by LapElectricInAz »

I’m curious to know if anybody has had any failure to fire due to low strike. I have used many different types of ammo and still get failure to fire on occasion. I did a little research and see they have an enhanced firing pin just curious to know if this has remedied anybody’s problems

Some of my 7.62x39 appear to have significant hits and still fail to fire

Before I changed the firing pin I had 1-2 out of 20 fire non mil spec fired no problem. I got mine from bexar arms but they are out of stock now.

The "enhanced " firing pin is actually slightly longer. Not noticeable but measurable. I believe .010 or .015 longer.

I see black rifle company has them in stock for about $12 figure a $12 fix may be well worth the investment the gun was a parts kit from Durkin Tactical so it’s not a very quality piece
