They might actually be able to eliminate them here since the surrounding terrain would be very hard on pigs. I hunt them several times a year in Alabama and Georgia, and it might be the most guilty fun I've ever had. Once they take hold in country that has a food source and water they will never leave, and the amount of damage they can do has to be seen to be believed. They multiply so fast there is no keeping up with them. I stopped counting all the money I spent, between thermal and night vision, guns in various calibers, plus travel expenses. But once you sneak up on a big sounder and open fire you forget all about the dollars.

I hunt them every year when I go up to the Red River area of Texas for Christmas.
Family has 2 sections of land up there, and they are everywhere!

If the Game&Fish would give the go ahead for "open season" on them like coyotes, the "problem" would go away.
