Dealer fee?

This is the place to talk about general outdoor activities like fishing, off-roading, hiking, camping, hunting, mountain climbing, etc...

It's a new deal Game and Fish made with retailers.
They can now add a fee to the cost of licenses to cover their overhead.

Got mine at Wally World and WAS charged the fee!!?? WTF. I asked, and the guy said that game and fish used to kick back a few bucks for them and no longer do it; so now they add a fee on for doing it. So the state figured out a new way of milking a few more dollars a year out of us.

I used to just screenshot the license on my phone and sign it in the picture editor, but when I renewed over the summer they gave me the option of getting a mobile version of the license. Unless you're doing something special I don't think there's really a reason to print it out anymore.

Business could simply choose not offer this service, fee is probably worth it for the ability to go someplace in person or any Walmart and renew a license.

There are only two ways to buy one other than by a third party seller.
The internet or go to the Game and Fish.

What I don't like about the third party is the fact that they usually have a little box under the counter that they keep the licenses in and you information is setting in that box until they do who knows what with it.

I have always gone down to the Game and Fish office , but since this virus BS has been going on they are hardly ever open.

Game & Fish just woke up. You used to get pissed at them for raising license fees every year. This year no raise but no kickback to dealers, dealers charge a fee, you get pissed off at dealers.

Kind of like sales tax, payroll tax, Medicare tax, etc. You don't know how much it is because it is hidden or you know how much you pay but blame it on the wrong person.

That's the game.
