Yep, he probably got my scent from my camera and is licking his chops in anticipation.

Drop leg holster or adapter is what you want. It's not so low that you have to have a leg strap but just low enough to clear pack hip belt. If you have a pack with moly webbing, you can also get holsters that attach to that directly
