And they say hunter participation is down...

This is the place to talk about general outdoor activities like fishing, off-roading, hiking, camping, hunting, mountain climbing, etc...

At $13 each, they made $2.5M just off app fees! And that's not even including any tag fees...

How much do you think it takes to process 150,000 applications? They aren't making money.

I would hope not much considering it’s all online and should be automated. It is the government so it’s not completely out of the question that they would print them all out and process them by hand. Or better yet, have someone take the information that’s entered by the user and retype it all into a different system.

As much as people like to b**** about the Game and Fish , they get no tax money from Arizona.
They do not make as much money as some people seem to think.

" A lot of our funding comes from public spending on things like fishing and hunting licenses, tags or stamps, and via a federal excise tax on firearms and ammunition. The excise tax is returned to states in the form of grants, which fish and wildlife agencies use to carry out projects to conserve and protect wild birds and mammals and their habitats. "

Totally agree. The last several draws have been crazy. Way more people applying than before. Would be interesting to see the break down between resident and non resident. That and the distribution of AZ residency duration, i.e. long- time residents vs newcomers.
