Im putting in, but want to change it up from the waste of time mule deer hunts on the Rim. Hoping to get a tag down south where its warmer, there are actually deer and its not a 4 hour drive one way to get there. Research time.

Yep, my & my hunting buddy have points built up so hopefully this year... Used to get drawn every year... This State has too many people anymore...
I hear this was the last year for the paper apps, going to all online from now on...

I'm not opposed to this. Might lessen the number of old Fudds who draw tags just to sit by the fire and tell stories. Never even leave camp... You can come along for free.

I like sitting around the campfire listening and telling stories. I have a few of my own.
I still hunt , but some of what I call the old guys have earned the right to set in camp if they want too.
There are not many of them left.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy having them around. By all means come along. (I said they could come for free..) But, when they draw a tag and don't bother to even get their rifle out of the bag.. Let someone else have a chance.

I've been drawn once in the last 7 years (minus last year). I've even have put in for odd ball areas with decent draw odds..
