Good road condition/s for day-travel? I've never been past the 79 Junction to go south into Florence.
Thanks!

It's a US Highway so, ya, it's good to go. Some nice sights along the way.

For a day trip, you could try taking the 60 east to Superior then 177 south to Winkelman, then 77 north to Globe, then 60 West back to Phoenix. Will take you past the copper mines at Ray, Miami, Pinto Valley and Oak Flat, and the mill/smelter in Hayden.

That's a good idea and I've done that a couple of times. It's like going back in time.iammaxwell wrote: ↑February 10th, 2023, 10:03 pm For a day trip, you could try taking the 60 east to Superior then 177 south to Winkelman, then 77 north to Globe, then 60 West back to Phoenix.
