SHOOT AND BBQ ON HOLD
Well on review of site today by some associates the BLM has decided to shut down the whole area to shooting, along with the ''supposed new for the public shooting ranges that our money was spent on, and that will probably never open.
SO AT THIS TIME WE WILL PUT ON HOLD, CONTACT IS BEING MADE TO DETERMINE IF WE CAN MOVE TO AN APPROVED SPOT, BUT..............AS WE ALL KNOW. UGH. OUR fabulous leaders at work
sorry, this was gonna be a hoot

Re: SHOOT AND BBQ ON HOLD
Just remember, their $1 million dollar range still isn't open, but they shut everything around it down "to protect the public"
No answer on how much is shut down or why.

I’ve lived here my whole life. (Other than army time) I’ve watched this game and fish just get more and more liberal. They are almost like a Biden administration. They seem to fvck everything they touch. ( like Ben Avery)

Re: SHOOT AND BBQ ON HOLD
Most of the reasons that areas have been closed to shooting have ZERO to do with unelected Gubment bureaucrats. It has to do with an excessive influx of Homo sapiens to Arizona. How many people on this board without doing an internet search can tell me the following:
*What channel were “Wallace and Ladmo” on?
*On what street was “Shooters Haven” located?
*What put Bohm’s gun shop out of business?
“On what day and evening could civilians drive up use the shooting ranges at the AZ National Guard headquarters on McDowell Rd?
“In what high school in the 1970’s were the biggest gun shows in Phoenix held?”
The fact is most of you on this board can’t answer those questions and all you FNG’s who moved here from California, Illinois, New York and wherever else are not part of the problem-YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
For years I used to go target shooting in the foothills of the McDowells where $10 million dollar homes are now. I used to shoot at a gravel pit near the Superstitions but then people built homes near there and that came to an end. I used to shoot on the south side of the Superstitions but then they built “Gold Canyon”. I used to shoot at Needle Rock and then zillions of idiots on ATV’s and picnic goofs whined about shooting and that was off limits. Then I shot south of Bartlett Road and Cave Creek but guess what? ATVers swarmed that area and whined about target shooting.
Y’all wanna solve the problem? Return to your daylight savings time states. Ain’t sectionalism a wonder thing?
PS-I don’t comments

Re: SHOOT AND BBQ ON HOLD
Some true some false. Arizona "State Trust land" was enabled in 1910, long before any of us arrived or were even born. The method AZSL was to be managed and sold was established in 1915, once again, long before any of us.That Guy wrote: ↑March 29th, 2022, 2:53 pm Most of the reasons that areas have been closed to shooting have ZERO to do with unelected Gubment bureaucrats. The area we are describing is Federal BLM land, not earmarked for sale to a developer or to be traded to an Indian tribe to build a Casino. The legislation for managing BLM land does not include sale to developers for housing.
While it may look like areas you are describing, it is vastly different in its purpose. It is happening now because:
- People believed the public hearings were really to get public input (bull-crap)
- BLM severely limited the distribution of the full number of acres they planned for and received, according to them, only 13 emails with comments.
-We are in a circle jerk, shooting at each other rather than complaining to BLM, local politicians, federal representatives, and anyone else that can make life miserable for the folks who did this so some scale-back might happen.

Re: SHOOT AND BBQ ON HOLD
I was born and raised here in Phoenix and the only question I can answer is Walice and Ladmo was on Chanel 5. Ladmo bags were large grocery paper bags. They turned into small sandwich bags. Other than that I was young and dumb. That Guy wrote: ↑March 29th, 2022, 2:53 pm Most of the reasons that areas have been closed to shooting have ZERO to do with unelected Gubment bureaucrats.
