How Was The SAR Show?
Illness prevents me from going this year. Wondering if there were any decent millers for decent prices this year.

Re: How Was The SAR Sow?
Friday was busy in the SAR building, I sold a little bit of stuff. Hopefully it will be a little bit better Sat. If you are at the show this weekend, I have 2 tables of misc stuff just north of Mr Silencer in the SAR building, swing by and say hi.

Re: How Was The SAR Sow?
I enjoyed it thoroughly. Only had three hours Saturday morning. Started with the outdoor area under the tents, saw cool things, including a table full of STI 2011 variants. Cruised the SAR building on the west. Anybody need a crate of Lahti pistol mags? Saw a Soluthurn 20mm that is my "lottery gun," so I can say, "Oh, you have a fifty cal? That's cute." Went through the east building very quickly, hit very few of the tables. Did see several friends and shot the bull, which for me is the main point of a guns show. Stopped and talked to Alan Korwin. On the way out, the attorney, Mark Victor was bloviating, sounded like a circus barker, arrogant and brash.
Bought a couple small items and a nice laser rangefinder, but otherwise restrained myself.
I was shopping for a Browning 1911-22 with threaded barrel, but didn't see a single one, with or without threaded barrel.
Overall, I thought quite a good show, interesting merchandise, everybody seemed to be in good spirits, unlike when Obama was dictator and Hillary the expected successor.

Found everything I was looking for and shot the bull with Glenn and Ed at the AzCDL booth. Good show. Found the best price I've seen in a while on .22WMR CCI 40 grain @ $7.95/50

Re: How Was The SAR Sow?
I didn't make it to the show.
I had a SVT (tachycardia) at the airport and had to turn around and go home.
Did anyone see any cool revolvers?
United Sporting Arms
Freedom Arms
357 Maximum
327 Fed Mag
32-20 WCF
.455 Webley
Any T/C barrels?
I hate to miss the best show of the year. It doesn't come around that often.

I wasn't looking for revolvers, but I did see several Webleys, and one of them looked monstersized, so that was probably a .455.
Again, wasn't looking for revolvers, but one fellow was displaying old-timey lever guns, and there was at least one .32-20.
Did not see a .357 Maximum, but a friend of mine just bought one at an auction, and he says I'll get to shoot it in the next couple of weeks.

It was an amazing show from a sales and purchase standpoint. VLTOR had some smoking deals on blem VIS style receivers.

Re: How Was The SAR Sow?
The SAR show is the only gun show I try to attend each year...this years show was pretty good. Picked up a Magpul bipod for $105 (a little below normal retail) and a Remington Tac-14 for $300 (best deal I have seen, even online). Saw plenty for $400+ all over the show but one guy was smart and wanted to sell some). Was looking for higher end 22LR, but nothing available.

About the only show I go to also. Spent Sat and Sun both, sold a couple of things thanks to some good luck from muta4warrior . Bought a few trinkets. Good time.

Re: How Was The SAR Show?
people seemed more ready to deal in years past...
noticed listed prices on machine guns were much more likely within negotiation range of market prices for the first time in quite a while...
