Tucson show on Irvington
Hi Tucson members. Need input on what area gunshops and pawn shops to visit that aren't TOO far off of the I-17 corridor to hit on the way back up to PHoenix. PLus, your recommendation for must-try Mexican food.

There is no I-17 corridor anywhere near Tucson.
As far as Mexican food I recommend Guillermo's Double L on the corner of 29th and 4th.

I recommend Crossroads, which is across the street from Guillermo's in the above post. It's small, family owned for over 50 years, and their salsa is freaking awesome.

I remember when you could go there and be served food and beer while sitting in your car.cool arrow wrote: ↑November 20th, 2020, 5:57 pm I recommend Crossroads, which is across the street from Guillermo's in the above post. It was just like A&W except they served alcohol instead of root beer.
They didn't have the girls in mini skirts and on skates though.
I kind of miss those days.

Show policy was crazy. Naturally your mask, then your temp taken at the door, then must sign a waiver of liability if you get sick. Like the few previous Az Gun Radio sponsored shows I've went to.....meh. Got some ammo and grips, that's it.
Hit CrossRoads restaurant. Yummy bowl of red pozole, and a decent taco salad.
Found that Frontier Guns was kinda neat on a small scale, but that Murphy's....WOW !
Grabbed a used .22 rifle from them and rooted through their box of take-off rubber grips.
Nabbed about six-pair. Worth the scrounge. Great attitudes there, and great service.

Murphy's is hit and miss, but they have been around for as long as I can remember. (longer than just about any shop in town)
They have some decent buys on used stuff, and yes, they are a good go-to for all kinds of parts.
glad it was a good day and that Crossroads did not disappoint.

Re: Tucson show on Irvington
Those boxes that were tagged were insane for 9mm, like 55 for ball and 75 for HP.
I ALMOST got suckered into some re-man 9. Guy had all these boxes of various flavors of
OEM FMJ, at like $35 a box, with discount for multiple boxes. Guy ahead of me buying it
clarified, "Now, these are YOUR reloads, right?" Uh....no thankie.
