Gun Shows being Cancelled

#1

Post by rbking »

Check as best as you can. To verify, that the show that you intend to go to, is still on. I was just on another forum. Folks noted, a number of this weekends gun shows. Had been canceled at the last minute.

Don't know if this applies to any AZ shows? But some States back east are prohibiting gatherings of more than a couple of hundred people.

This is an entirely manufactured situation, wife is a nurse, there is no huge problem, actually quieter than most flu seasons

At this point its going to be a while before any gun shows are being held. I am guessing some where around mid summer, when this whole CV-19 scare calms down. Hell, I was waiting to hit a gun show to pick up some bulk ammo. Guess its going to be a while before that happens.

Hoping they don't cancel the August gun show in Payson.
Its usually a small venue but some good deals. I got the wife to go with me and she found a few things that interested her so now im good to go :-)

I just checked the Az. gun show listing for 2020. The Crossroads show on April 25th has been canceled. Not surprised. We'll just have to wait and see what happens with the other shows.

I'm ecstatic that the whore of Crossroads is losing money. He's been screwing not only the public, but vendors for years.

Idle curiosity. How was he screwing vendors?

A friend of mine owns a local company that makes pistol grips. I'd help him at the shows. Never once was he given the location he was promised. He had a display booth that required a certain position. We'd show up and even though he'd been promised it, he was moved every time. We heard the same complaint from many vendors.

Anymore I don't bother with gun shows, but was really looking forward to the Rio Salado spring gun show/swap meet.
Smaller than most but, the show I went to there last fall seemed like one of the old fashioned shows we all were used to - free to get in and the atmosphere was laid back and easy goin'.
Hope we get thru this crap ok so the coming fall show there will go off as planned.

Sorry to be a pest, but another thing I hate about Crossroads is his decision to limit private sales. Used to be we could gather around the first tent with private sales. Now that's not allowed. You can still walk around, but the pressure is on to buy a table. Yet he still advertises "Buy, Sell, or Trade".

So he hasn't stopped trades, just made them a little more difficult.
