Big Sandy Fall 20th Anniversary Shoot
It's that time again! With Fall rapidly approaching its time to start preparing for the Big Sandy Fall 20th Anniversary Shoot to be held on October 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th, 2024. This is a Thank You to our shooters for 20 wonderful years. This shoot will be a four-day shoot with the 24th being an informal bonus day, with informal matches and a barbecue hosted by MG Shooters. The Barbecue will be at no cost to the Shooters, and accompanying Spectators will be able to purchase a Barbecue meal ticket at Registration. There will be no reactive targets put out on the 24th. No tracer or Incendiary ammunition is permitted during Thursdays activities. On Friday the 25th, our regular shoot will start at 12 noon.
24 October Thursday Bonus Shoot Day
10am – 4pm
Informal shooting
12 Noon
Garand Match (iron sights) - east end of range, uphill
2pm
Thompson Match - east end, uphill at plate racks
6pm
Barbecue - north (back) side of firing line, @ 4H
There will be two ways to register for the October shoot. One way is to download the registration form on our website, then mail the forms back to us. Be sure to add any special requests to be next to or near someone so we can have optimal placement. If you have multiple shooters in a group, please bundle everyone up and mail it in. With the cancellation of our March 2023 shoot, many of you still have credit for the next shoot. You will still need to send in your registration forms even if you have credit. The due date is October 1, 2024.
The second way you can register is online at the website. Follow the instructions to first register and then pay by credit card. If you had credit from the last cancelled shoot, you are still required to register. Just email us the downloadable form and in the special notes section indicate a credit is due.
Our due date for registering is October 1, 2024. Be sure to give us any special requests in the comment section. If you have any questions, contact 602-327-7933 or send a note to service@bigsandyshoot.com
One new aspect of registering by mail or online is that we are eliminating the advance T-shirt sales from both forms. All T-shirt sales will need to be done in person when you go through the registration booth at check in.
We will return your receipt with line positions after October 1, 2024 due date. We expect a huge turnout for this event so be sure you get your registration in early.
Spectators are welcome at the shoot and all spectators can pay at the gate when they arrive. There are no advance tickets sold for spectators. Our machine gun rental booth is available if you wish to rent a machine gun. Do not sign up as a Shooter if you are a Spectator and wish to shoot machine guns in the rental booth. Credit cards are accepted for machine gun rentals and front gate entrance fees. Camping is free and a bus runs from the campground/parking area to the firing line. Special shooting packages can be arranged for Shooters or Spectators; please call for details.
Great camp food will continue to be provided by the Kingman 4H club. Concession hours will be from Friday breakfast through Sunday breakfast.
Before heading to the shoot, check our website for current road conditions. Please make a note of site contact phone numbers in case you find yourself in need of assistance.
We take pride in our efforts to provide everyone with a safe place to shoot and thank you for your continued support. We look forward to hearing back from you and hope to have you join our MG Shooter's family for another "REALLY GREAT SHOOT."
Thanks,
Ed Hope & Kenton Tucker

Re: Big Sandy fall blast coming up
1350 pounds of ANFO, 12.5 cases of dynamite and a shitpot of fireworks! Somebody orchestrated a mass launching of flares Saturday night and it was assume!! Fireworks on both night shoots rather then just Saturday night. Everybody got their money's worth, I'm sure.
Thanks to those who stopped up at the bunker and gave this ol' fart a hand, much appreciated! See you again in March!
