Re: 45 ACP cases
 Hmmm, maybe I can make your both feel like winners. I just changed over to load some cast lead RN, for 45acp. After wet tumbling, it took me two hours to size, prime, expand case mouths, lube bullets, weigh powder, seat and crimp, all in individual single steps,......... to produce 50 cartri...

Re: 45 ACP cases
Yup, hand processing, one stage at a time, does have its advantages, imo! Which is probably why I never graduated to a progressive. Once I learned how every stage of processing towards a finished bullet can compound a negative,... I just stayed with one step at a time,... but, my OCD may have a fact...

Re: Beware of Frontier (hornady) ammo
AZ1182,... I made mention, above, about OTM nose openings being the result of manufacturing, so I tried to search and find verification. Came across this article, and thought it would more than suffice. You added an interesting, personal twist, to it, thanks! ________________________________________...

It is a manufacturing defect,... that's all,... they'll shoot fine. You could pull a couple, just to make sure they are the same weight as the bullets with a clean hole, otherwise, not to worry. _________________________________________________________________________ Oscar Wilde,... “Imitation is t...

I am glad you posted pics, if, the three of the four first pictured, is what you are referring to as FMJ,... I know exactly what you are talking about. First let me say that I have found the same looking material/ hollow point bullets in some Barnes 36 gr, all copper bullets, I load. I was very leer...

Pika,... I just checked in my Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. But, It only has load data for the 50AE and 500S&W. I do have to comment on your mold choice. I really like extra wide metplats, they cut into a target at a wider range of angles than a round nose or a truncated profile, imo. Bu...

Re: Thoughts on AR pistols
The only AR pistol upper I built, was in 300 BLKOUT. Probably not considered a "pistol caliber",... but, even having better penetration than any other pistol caliber, even at the velocity I load it at,... it is, in my opinion. I put a 10.5 inch barrel on it. And enjoyed it for close work d...

Ballistic Therapy ,... obviously you have never been hungry,... really hunger!! Hungry folks in cities have a multitude of avenues to get a hot meal,.... not always so, in very rural America.
