Re: FROM THE SIG FORUM

I've been in LE for 30 years, 28 as an instructor. My numbers are conservative at best and based on my own experience. Guarantee you if you made quals a choice for officers/agents, you'd never see 70% of them ever again. If your experience is different, whoopty-freakin-doo. I train people for a liv...

Re: FROM THE SIG FORUM

I've said before that about 70% of LE aren't shooters and maybe 10% or less do additional training to maintain and/or improve their skillset. . . Before I left the job I did training of officers, not new recruits. That was a long time ago but I think your 70% and 10% are, bit exaggerated. I've been...

Re: FROM THE SIG FORUM

I take the stories of Sigs AD'ing w cops with a grain of salt. I see a lot of poor gun handling from the LE community on the daily. I've said before that about 70% of LE aren't shooters and maybe 10% or less do additional training to maintain and/or improve their skillset. Human error is a very real...

Re: IRS agent/trainer killed other IRS agent/trainer

The most dangerous day at the range is when the shooters are all instructors. Those that can do, do, those who cant teach. While I agree with the sentiment, there are some of us who "can do, and do" (Carlos and myself being exceptions), but you're correct, most teach because they "ca...

Re: Videos of engagements

Remember this video from last year? Lots of folks thought this guy was likely to burn because he continued to shoot the guy long after he has down and seemingly neutralized. In fact, to many, it looked like an execution when he stood over the guy and and continued to plug him. https://twitter.com/g...

Re: How often are you actually getting trigger time?

Daily. Depending on what I'm doing, 100 to 200 a day. Yes, there are days when I just don't feel like shooting and there are days when I'm preparing for a match or a class that I'll shoot a bit more doing drills.

Re: Gun owning households, on the rise

Definitely lib first timers. I know this because when the riots started, they'd tell me they were buying their first firearm then give me their voter ID card for proof of address. So if they were registered democrat did you still sell them a gun ? After all , it is illegal to sell to the mentally i...

Re: Concealed Carry: G43 vs 43X

The 43 is my gun I carry when I don't wanna carry a gun. Bare minimum w a 9 round mag and spare. The 43X gives you a lot more control plus you can get 15rd mags. Heavier and slightly bulkier. Your pick between comfort and control/capacity.
