Re: Loaner .875" AR10 Barrel Dimple Die?
It's stupid easy. I've dimpled barrels for hundreds of customer builds, never once used a jig. Set screws make marks, center punch middle of the mark, drill a dimple. Super easy. Takes less time than setting up a jig.

You don't need a jig.

Re: Will an "Upgrade" Hurt Value?
A numbers matching SKS in excellent condition goes for about that...has for a while now. If your SKS isn't numbers matching, has been shot, re-armored, dings, dents, etc...do whatever you want to it.

Clean out your powder dispenser...it's easy. Use compressed air to blow it out. Done and done. You're overthinking it, OP

If Massad Ayoob's name was something domestic sounding, like Steve Smith, no one would listen to him. No good can come from talking to the police.

Re: Dimpling Jigs - Recommendations?
You don't need a jig. Put the gas block in place, install one set screw. Center punch the other set screw location. Reverse and repeat. Drill the dimple. Done.
But, if you insist on using a jig...

Re: Kahr enters the competition
Too little, too late. Kahr is a great example of a company that didn’t innovate and got surpassed by others. Personally, I’ve always hated their looooonnnnngggg trigger pull. I honestly wasn’t sure if Kahr was still making firearms until last week when someone here posted about a Kahr 380 in the dea...

Re: AR pistol or SBR with folding mechanism
As long as you're spending money, I'd check out the PSA Jakl. You can buy a complete pistol, and SBR it. Or, if you already have an SBR'd lower, the upper can fit on any standard AR15 lower, with a simple adapter kit. Folding stock, and you can fire it all you want with it folded.

Re: AR pistol or SBR with folding mechanism
The Law Tactical the way to go. It's a solid device. All the other clones I've installed are too loosely fitted, fold too easily - last thing you want is a floppy stock!, or too light on materials used. The Law is the best. I can put my 12.5" sbr in a backpack also...broken apart...a 16" i...

Re: AR pistol or SBR with folding mechanism
Do you often find yourself in situations where you need a concealable rifle? Why are you walking around where people can see you in a SHTF situation? I'm not trying to be a dick, but I love when people contemplate all the Mad Max scenarios they are going to be in when "SHTF". You'll either...

Re: AR pistol or SBR with folding mechanism
Do I use one? No. Why add more parts and complexity to the system? All AR's are takedown rifles...just pull the pins.campinginaz wrote: ↑January 26th, 2024, 5:48 pmI'll look onto that thank you! Do you use one by chance? Ever have an issue?

Re: AR pistol or SBR with folding mechanism
Law Tactical. Everything else is a poor copy.
I've installed dozens of Law folders over the years, and they are nicely built contraptions. All the other knock-offs are cheaply made with inferior materials.

I hear more bad things about Kilo Guns than I hear good things...easily 2-1.DrEarlCordova wrote: ↑January 26th, 2024, 3:53 pm Maybe Kilo guns doesn't like working on AR15s, because they did a pin and weld for me that looked like they dragged it down the street behind a truck.

Re: Which backpack for a BOB?
I would decide what you want to put in it, first. That will determine the backpack size you need.
