Re: Springfield’s SA35
Only “mod” I would do to this is skateboard tape on front and back strap. A model with a modestly extended beavertail would be high on my list. My fat German hands haven’t been bit yet, but it’s close on the BHP. A little extra something, not much, maybe another half inch, would be welcomed IMO. We...

Re: Springfield’s SA35
They should have checkered or stippled the front & rear of the frame. Then it would have been a clone of the high-end Hipowers from the 80's & 90's. The nostalgia would be strong. Once we get a few reviews and the actual street prices, I may purchase one. The second I do, they'll offer an o...

Re: ATF confiscates Larry Vickers' guns
That John Crump guy, and others, speculate that he failed to renew his SOT, having health matters of immediate concern. Since the evil offending arms were not transferred over to another SOT, now contraband. In layman’s terms, if you forget to pay your protection money to Uncle Sugar, he’ll make su...

Re: CZ primed to dominate U.S. market
I’m OK with this. Hell, I fully support it! CZ makes great stuff! I’m yet to own one of their pistols (hoping that changes sooner rather than later), but all of the rifles I’ve owned from them have been gorgeous shooters!

Re: Long range rifle question
If it’s your first precision rifle, I’d actually suggest a 6.5mm Creedmoor over a .308WIN in so much that recoil is less and it’s ballistically superior. HOWEVER, the advantages of a .308 are that the heavier recoil and lesser ballistics serve as an excellent platform to learn and perfect the fundam...

Re: Which Gun Are You Currently After?
In this environment, I just want more ammo. Yeah, I find myself wishing I'd bought a helluva lot more ammo during the "golden Trump years." I did alright, but towards the end funds got tighter for me, and I couldn't always replace what I'd shot. I'm sitting pretty on .22LR, doing pretty g...

Re: Which Gun Are You Currently After?
I had an Accuracy International AT at one point, and I kind of miss it. So I've been thinking of selling several things and finding a way to acquire another. That, or I've got a potential line on a Sig SSG 3000, which is also a precision rifle I've always wanted. Not sure which to go after. The SSG ...

Re: Biden State Department Bans Import of Russian Ammo and Firearms
Wolf .22 ammo is the only stuff I’ll be directly affected by as far as actual Russian ammo, but SK is a suitable substitute. However, the ammo squeeze across the board is gonna get worse for awhile. Biden and his administration all need to go choke on a big ol’ bowl of dicks already…

He's a sellout, plain and simple. The crocodile will eventually get to him, he's simply feeding it right now in the hopes it eats him last. If the man had integrity, he wouldn't do what he does and train the antigunners. He's seeking fame and fortune, period, there is nothing to admire about the ma...

Re: Berkey water filters
We have one and swear by it. Kind of pricey up front, but the difference in water quality is AMAZING, and they’re much better and more convenient than something like a Brita. Highly recommended, and yes, go a size larger than you think you’ll need.

I was there yesterday, no wait at all, plenty of open benches. Haven’t been there on a weekend in years, so I can’t speak to that.

Re: Is it just me or is MLOK way overhyped?
Yep, just you, LOL. MLOK installs take a little finesse at first, but once you get them down like Brlux stated, they’re as solid as they’re going to be while also maintaining a slimmer, lighter rail. Keymod is like a cheese grater if you don’t use rail covers and/or gloves, worse even than Picatinny...

Re: Ammo Recommendations .308
Lots of good options, none of which are cheap anymore. Before the panic, you could sometimes find the FGMM 175 on sale for about $0.80/rnd. Not anymore! But for good factory options, most guys were shooting one of the following: -FGMM 168SMK -FGMM 175SMK -FGMM 185 Juggernauts -Hornady ELD-M -Berger ...

I don't even have to look to know that three of the clique is trying to do clique things. I don't read ignored person's posts but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that someone shared this thread in either private messaging or offsite someplace else, and that I still live rent free inside of y...

Re: I Torture Tested a Gucci Glock... $$$$$
I have had a few gen 3's. The only one I had problems with was the one I swapped out parts on. My G34 . . Out of the box, no cleaning before or during. No lube the whole time. Shot 2000 rnds without problem. YMMV. I also shot the hell out of my gen 2 (bought it in 1990) with no problems (it was the...
