Re: .500sw loaders is this enough crimp ?
Looks good. Redding crimp? Combination of a roll crimp and taper. Worked well for all my .454 Casull loads. Send it and check. HTH's

Re: Weird gun problems
Yep, manufacture. Whether they forgot to install a gas tube or stuffed one in and forgot to pin it, jury is still out. I did not check inside the chamber to see if a tube was present. Left that to the owner....

Re: Ruger set screws
Heat. Large soldering iron tip on the screws. You can try Kroil or 50/50 Acetone/ATF but heat usually works best. Good luck! Oh, and try tapping on the screws as you turn. HTH

Re: Going into debt to buy ammo :) Time to reload.
I've been reloading for over 50 years. Started small, acquired more as time went on, got into casting wayy back when. Have what I need to last me for the rest of my life and my kids life, if I could get them interested and they lived near me. That said, I'm currently shooting mostly factory 9mm. Bou...

Re: "Banana Republic" vest
Any vest that looks like the "life jacket" from Back to the Future. Or, if you're looking for the working man vibe, a conspicuity vest. Or a cowboy vest or just an untucked shirt.

Weird gun problems
At our Saturday night match, we had a new to us shooter with his branddy new AR-10ish .308. I get called over to DX a problem, i.e., single shot semi auto. Picked it up and looked at the FSB, a low profile type, thinking perhaps it had the gas turned down/off, when my eye fixates on the hole in the ...

What Clyde said. Built several, no problems, run one of their RF-85 units (no lube) to test. Still "testing" after 5 years.... No noted problems. If you're buying the "kit", make sure you know what you are doing or have the help of someone who does. Pay attention, take your time ...

Re: Pistol to rifle loading
Having been doing this for a few years (>50) I can tell you from experience that the only time I've used "just" a pistol measure was with the Lachmillar or Lyman Little Dandy types. Using both the small charge bar and the large bar in the same housing, and loading some pistol charges that ...

CCML night match, 14 October 23
Little different this month, as we will have a dueling tree at 50 yards for PCC's and three or more targets at the berm for rifles and slugs. Usual plate rack, some paper targets at 5-7 yards plus 2 steel pistol stages, at least one of which will require movement and perhaps a reload for the single...
