Re: The Super Safety (FRT-like 3D-printable device)
I love the innovation but this one looks more like a lightning link to me. Or maybe splitting the difference between a lightning link because it is actuated on bolt carrier recoil vs return. Regardless, I'll wait & see but won't be holding my breath for approval. I wonder if he's printed any wit...

Re: Need help with Sun Devil SD308
I had some issues with SD15 receivers being out of spec back in the day. I even took them in to the shop and their pin gauge didn't go. The owner was pretty pissed that his machinist gauged them in front of me after he just got done telling me that my parts kit must have been out of spec. So my issu...

Re: Dump it or keep it?
I've never had a problem with heat and reloading components. As long as I "keep my powder dry" I've used powder and primers that are 20 years old with no issues.

2-3%? I don't think so. Regardless, even with the pin & 3rd hole, the crazy uncle had better have a few more piles of matching parts needed to make those mouse traps work.

Re: Ditching the digital lock
I'd wait for clarification on the Liberty issue. My understanding is that there is no backdoor master code, just a default code from the factory. That doesn't change Liberty's guilt in this scenario but does mean that it's your fault if you don't change the default factory code as soon as you get a ...

How about a pic of one of those in the cylinder? How close do they get to sticking out the front?

Re: When you bulk reload for pistol, what bullet type do you usually choose?
I've run plated for cost or availability reasons but I prefer jacketed. I just find jacketed are easier to work with, more consistent weights, require less belling of the brass, tend to fit better in all of my guns (some coated bullets seem to have a steeper ogive, requiring deeper seating for some ...

Re: Emergency antibiotics supply
one concern I have is shelf life. I bought some supplies years ago, but didn't refresh them as often as I should. Some pills last a long time if stored in cool/dry locations but others don't. And ointments or bandages with adhesives really don't last long. I always think I'm going to remember to rep...

That last line about possible CMP availability is interesting. Although I'm glad I already have this one.

I love the idea of not having to setup & cleanup my own steel. Loading up the truck, unloading/setup in the desert, packing up in the desert, unloading & repacking my s*** back at home takes a good chunk of time. It would be amazing to just toss my rifle & ammo in the truck and come home...
