Re: New Sportsman's Warehouse Coming - Chandler
Agreed. The Tucson Sportsmans is way closer to me than the other options and I actually go there a couple times a year.

Re: What is Your Method for Measuring Scope Height?
Crap in equals crap out. The more accurate info you can give your calculator the better off it will be. I always measure the sight height the way I described above. I use a magneto chronograph to get an accurate velocity and I use Litz measured ballistic coefficients not advertised. I also input my ...

Re: What is Your Method for Measuring Scope Height?
I believe the correct way and the way I do it is this. First measure your scope bell dia. and divide by two. Write that number down. Then measure the barrel dia. just in front of the scope bell and divide that number by two. Write that number down. Then measure the gap between scope bell and barrel ...

Got one hit. Either the wife is hunting Mule deer again or I drew a Dec Whitetail tag. Either way I'm happy.

Re: What's your go-to medium game hunting cartridge?
You're original thought of a .270 Win is a fantastic choice. They are accurate, and plenty powerful for even elk if you wanted to. Ammo is always available and seems to be easier to find even during all the panic buying. That being said I like to be different, my do all coyotes to deer rifle is a cu...

Re: Rise Armament triggers anyone???
The wife and I use one in the ARs we built. We use them for coyote hunting mostly but the triggers are very nice. Hers has the curved shoe and mine has the flat. I got the flat just to try it and the jurry is still out on weather I like it. Triggers are smooth and break clean though, all in all I am...

Re: Tikka bolt guns
Not a better more accurate factory rifle made in my opinion. Very smooth actions light weight and shoot fantastic. Great little guns to build on as well if you ever felt inclined to do so.

Re: Bruno’s still fair or the new Cheaper Than Dirt?
It' been years since I have seen a pound let alone a keg of Retumbo on the shelf at any store. Brunos has been able to get it and is selling it a fair price when compared to other sellers online. Simple supply and demand unfortunately.

Re: What's your go-to medium game hunting cartridge?
My personal preference for a commercially available do all caliber would probably be the .25-06 or the .270 Winchester. I lean more to the 25 cal simply because I like the ability to go down to a 70gr bullet at blistering speeds and up to 120gr for larger game that is more than enough for even elk a...

Re: Rangefinder opinions
The Sigs are nice, I have used a couple of them but don't own one. I am currently running the Leupold TBR 2800 and really like it. Has lots of bells and whistles to use if you so choose or not. I keep it on the trig setting and let it tell me the TBR (true ballistic range) dial and shoot. We have us...

Re: Shipping a box of ammo to a friend
You also have to print out a hazardous material ORMD label and tape it to the outside of the box. If you do a little digging on the UPS website they have a step by step process you need to do. It's really pretty simple just takes a little time.
