Re: Gunsmith repair work, general cost

This post is older, and hopefully you have it worked out by now. If not, try a new recoil spring. Slide may be coming back too soon, trying to pull the case out of the chamber while it is still expanded. Extractor pops over the rim and doesn’t pull it out.
Worth a try.

Re: Preview of the NEW ArizonaShooting.ORG classifieds and auctions

Okay, got it. First time I tried, no drop down menu appeared below the category of sporting goods.

I keep getting this error when trying to list:

‘Main Category’: the value ‘3704’ is invalid.

Re: Stag Arms?

Owned at least 4 different versions over the years...(currently still have a complete lower mated to a Springfield Saint upper) nothing but good to say about them. All of my Stag rifles were great.

I've done it in the past. Easy cartridge to load for.
What brass did you use?
Norma brass, Sierra .311 174 gr., CCI 200 primers, IMR 4895.
Thanks for all the info Lew! Guess I’m going to have to save my dimes and nickels and invest in some more reloading supplies 😉

Re: An interesting one for the Mosin enthusiasts

I've reloaded brass 7.62X54R Norma brass for many years. Bought 1 box the rest was range pick ups back I the day.I now have about 200 Norma cases, I haven't shot any of the Mosin's for quite a few years. Last 15 years been shooting lots of 60's Czech Silvertip in my 1910 Russian SnowCap Maxim. :D T...

He is able to get sub-moa out of his Finn and right at moa out of his Russian.
Now that info makes me real curious about what kind of accuracy this one could get with the right load...

Re: An interesting one for the Mosin enthusiasts

Shoots very well, the rifling is fantastic. I honestly don’t believe it was fired after it was selected for sniper duty. Many of these old 91/30s have bores that look like sewer pipes. I’d love to get some good quality ammo and shoot some groups. Of course, with how lousy my eyes have become over th...

An interesting one for the Mosin enthusiasts

A few years ago I picked up an interesting Mosin. A Tula that was stamped with the Cyrillic CN designating it as a sniper, but without any scope mount holes drilled, stock modifications, turned down bolt, or scope number stamped on the side. The trigger is the best I’ve ever felt on a Mosin. From wh...

Re: Do You Number Your Magazines? – Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day

Yes, I number all of mine. For identifying problem mags, loading with different ammo, and keeping track of them while shooting with other people with the same platform. If you’ve ever done training with a buddy running the same type of gun, and you’re both dropping mags on the ground, then you know ...

Re: AR versus AK - which is better? Why?

I can’t choose just one or the other.
I love them both for different reasons already stated in the posts above.
Thankfully (at this point in time) we can still own them both.
Hopefully we’ll keep it that way.
