Re: Best powder for .223/5.56
i have been using winchester 748 for years. i have tried other powders but always went back to 748. Same here. 55gr Hornady FMJ, CCI primers and mil brass, been using the same load since the '80's. Couldn't tell you how many thousands. Better than 3 MOA in every AR pattern rifle I've tried, the goo...

Re: ferral hog hunting
Hogs have to have a good supply of water, that's what keeps them from overrunning Arizona like other states. Guys that successfully hunt them won't tell you where they go. There are no regulations on killing wild/feral hogs, shoot them wherever. I do know of some that were killed back side of the Ca...

Re: Smoking reload help
I've had real good luck with the Vihtavuori powders, very clean burning and less smoke than others I've tried. More expensive, but not that much more.

Re: Troubleshooting an EoTech 517
Who made the batteries? Used to be if it was one of the major companies like Engergizer or Eveready they would pay for replacement of anything damaged by their batteries. Got a couple new flashlights that way back when. Might be worth it to contact them and see. Course, if they are China batteries y...

Re: Is C&R collecting effectively dead?
Definitely not dead, but pickings are slimmer these days, and the $40 Mosin Nagants are long gone. Importers are still finding things around the world. https://www.royaltigerimports.com/ recently brought in a literal warehouse of WW2 and after surplus guns from Africa that they had been jumping thro...

Re: What is it with auctions
Things are getting nuts with auctions right now. I'm on the Proxibid mailing list and check out multiple online auctions every week. Bought quite a few things over the years for really good prices too. An auction that ended yesterday had lots of ammo, factory, surplus, reloads, vintage, just about e...

Re: Do I need multiples of the same gun?
Having done Cowboy Action Shooting for a couple decades, I have duplicates of just about everything. I have carried that tradition on, even with the 2-gun and other competitions, as well as the SHTF guns. Mechanical devices do, on occasion, fail without warning. Being able to just grab the backup an...

Re: Police Trade ins
Aren't buybacks supposed to be destroyed ? Against the law in Arizona. I realize that. I doubt these guns are from Arizona. Most government agencies in Arizona sell their guns on a public auction site , not through wikiarms and you have to be an FFL to bid. Sierra Auctions based in Phoenix do most ...

Re: Range or Desert Shooting in Marana
Actual range that is the closest would be Pima Pistol Club in Catalina.
Another would be the public range in Casa Grande.

Re: Integrally suppressed SBR upper for Colt 9mm carbine.
http://srtarms.com/9mm-45-rifles/ I've got one of those in 13" (2 stamp gun). So quiet it doesn't get picked up by the timer in competition. Doug was a pleasure to deal with, only problem was having to drive to Camp Verde to pick it up. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z110/Howlin_Mad_pics/A...
