Re: Load for 6.5 Grendel
Thread back from the dead. Been playing around with my AR Grendel again and looking for an economical yet accurate load. Stumbled upon the 105gr Sierra BlitzKing, reasonably priced ($230 for 500) and decent aerodynamics (G1 of .425 above 1750fps) so I gave them a go. So far not disappointed, found a...

Re: 10mm load data info
Settled on vihtavuori N350 6.0 grains, had loaded it 6.2, 6.4., ND 6.6, LARGER does has quite the snap, but hit same place as lower dose, so, am happy with the results so off we go, load a thousand or so and be ready to rock and roll, have plenty primers, power , brass, and projectiles, yeehaw rj P...

Re: 10mm load data info
Closest I have to 180gr cast is a 175gr SWC load - 8.0gr of Power Pistol netted me a 1.6" group at 15yds. 1351 fps avg thru a 6.5" Model 610. 10gr of Blue Dot over the same projectile netted a 2.5" group and 1350 fps avg. I plan on trying 7.0-7.5gr of PP.

Re: 10mm ar info
Well as i'm bored to shiate, these days, been putting together some newbies, we fingered out the who, what and why on the .45 acp platform ar, and now i'm on to the 10mm, platform, so anyone that has info, and frankly not a fan of the other brothers opinion unless it has some validity to it by real...

Re: Hearing protection with mufflers?
Most electronic ear pro barely gets a rifle to hearing safe. 20-24db reduction isn't enough if you shoot a lot IMO. I double up when shooting rifles but still get some ringing with some of my noisier rifles. Picked up a 30 cal suppressor a while ago and can shoot my rifles with just the electronic e...

Re: BLM closed all shooting spots near pleasant lake
Went out wheeling today and noticed they signed the perimeter as well as put signs by any shooting spots inside the "recreation" zone. Had to go in about 5 miles to get to the "Leaving recreation Zone" signs.

Re: Walther. PPK/S 22
I picked up the SS model from Sportsman's. It is my favorite 22 pistol. I have a couple 22/45's and an SR22, the PPK is easily the most reliable. The double action trigger is atrocious but you can pull the hammer back and go single action which is great. Another plus is they just need a cheap adapte...

Re: BLM is here to help you with new shooting ranges
The long term closure maps are available to view, under documents not maps for some reason. They appear to cover the area immediately around the shooting facilities and are smaller that the temporary construction zone closures from what I can see. Looks like common sense to me. There are hiking and ...

Re: Load for 6.5 Grendel
I mainly use ARComp, CFE 223, 8208 or BLC2 and have had no issues with compressed loads using 120 and 123gr projectiles. Only time I have come close is with some of my 129gr loads. Now loading those long since my Howa mags are slightly longer than AR grendel mags. Now that I typed this I do recall a...

Re: 300 Black out & 10 mm
Just getting into 300 so thanks everyone for the info. Been doing 10mm for a while and have a ton of load/accuracy data. Will give you some of my better ACCURATE loads, use at your own peril. I have loads that go faster but don't consider them useful if the group sizes are bigger than 6" @ 10-1...

I had taxes on my last handgun in their shopping cart, early March timeframe. It was enough that I continued looking and found another vendor that was not yet charging state taxes.shooter444 wrote: ↑April 8th, 2020, 2:58 pm And,... weapon purchases are tax fee, coming here to Az.,... very nice indeed!!!

Re: Why not Video Games?
Video games are popular because of the massive entertainment to cost ratio. A single $60 game can provide thousands of hours of entertainment. For those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s there is no equivalent. Dont get me wrong, i dont agree with playing video game 24/7 but in a free society peo...
